We have a strong affinity for the art of display and how books can serve as visual focal point that finishes a room. When we redesign a space for a client, books may be an integral part of their home life so we aim to make this a personal and special design element within our clients spaces. We take the time to tune into our clients and we are very sensitive to all things emotional and heartfelt.  Being true to this, instead of ignoring it,  helps us to understand and relate to the individuals we work with.  After a recent design installation, a client writes, “Marvin… you have a sweet imagination… I noticed that all my V.S. Naipaul books were vertical together, and tried to imagine you doing ALL those books.  It’s such a fabulous job that I haven’t absorbed it all yet… saw James Baldwin, and smiled at that placement.  I came to NYC, and lived in Paris because of Baldwin (I met him, told him that, and arrived EARLY for his funeral).  I’ve shared him with my husband a lot, and you must have felt that.  Your work is amazing… I feel like you’re a mind reader.”

As our design principal Marvin shares, "I have a great affinity for objects, photos, and personal affects, so I love to tell a story, or make up a story... either way, I'm delighted you get it!

This is a high compliment indeed, and we appreciate it immensely. Thank you for "Letting Us In"!
